Things to Know before visiting the Mysore Palace:
Entrance Gate: The only place you can enter as a tourist is from the gates facing the south side of the Palace (googlemaps link)
You will need to carry cash to buy tickets. There's a handy ATM close by to the entrance if you need. You could also book a ticket through WhatsApp- but the service is slow and sometimes unresponsive.

INR 1000 for foreign touristsFootwear: You will need to remove your footwear before you get in. There is a facility to drop your footwear in a numbered bag, collect a token before you head in.
